“I was not aware that I had to go. Thirty minutes before the red carpet, [Glee creator] Ryan [Murphy] calls me and says, ‘Lea, you have to go.’ I’m like, ‘I’m sitting on my couch eating a kale salad!’ He said, ‘It’s our first year!’ So I called my best friend, borrowed her roommate’s dress, and then some people came over and helped me with my hair and makeup, and I was on the carpet. And we won!”

“I got to sing Don’t Rain on My Parade at the Tonys. I wish my grandfather could have seen it. I just give myself credit for having the balls to do some of this s*** that I do!”

“This is Gigantor Cory. I mean, how huge does he look here? And he’d love it. He’d be all [dumb jock voice], ‘Um, I look really big.’ Oh, and I love this outfit. I still wear it on the show — the Catholic-schoolgirl skirt.”
